Welcome to our website. We hope you will enjoy the information provided here about our fire and rescue department. We are proud to serve the citizens and visitors of our response district and surrounding fire districts as we provide mutual aid.

The Wyse Fork Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department is a 100% volunteer organization. We cover a fire district that encompasses 12 square miles in Lenoir County and
7 square miles in Jones County. The major highway that lies within our fire district is US 70.

Our fire and rescue department is proud to have achieved an ISO rating of 6, which allows citizens living in our fire district to pay lower rates on real property insurance.

Our fire district is surrounded by the following fire departments:
Southwood Vol. Fire Department (Lenoir County),
Sand Hill Vol. Fire Department (Lenoir County),
Phillips Crossroads Vol. Fire Department (Jones County),
Cove City Vol. Fire Department (Craven County) and
Dover Vol. Fire Department (Craven County)

Wyse Fork Fire & Rescue Department is dispatched by the Lenoir/Jones County Mutual 9-1-1 Center with locations in Kinston and in Trenton, NC. We operate on a new digital 800mhz radio system and our pagers are alerted on UHF frequency 460.625. You can listen live to Lenoir County Fire Dispatch by clicking HERE.

Wyse Fork Fire & Rescue is a member of both the
Lenoir County Volunteer Fireman's Association and the Jones County Firefighter's Association.
